Introducing the Champion Farm.
We are pleased to offer Geisha Washed from Santa Lucia Farm, a leader in Honduran specialty coffee, with a proven track record of winning 1st place in the COE in 2019 and 2021, and 2nd place in 2022.

This coffee is characterized by a gentle and elegant aroma reminiscent of chamomile, a refreshing citrus acidity like pink grapefruit and satsuma mandarin, and a juicy sweetness evocative of white grapes.

While employing a classical washed process, Santa Lucia Farm thoroughly manages every step in detail. In the washing process, dry fermentation is adopted to minimize water usage, demonstrating environmental consideration. In the drying process, they skillfully utilize two drying areas, outdoor and in greenhouses, to carefully finish the coffee with slow drying while controlling its condition.

Please enjoy the highest quality Geisha that Honduras is proud of.

Producer & Farm Story

Santa Lucia Farm is a Honduran farm owned by Fincas Mierisch, a leading specialty coffee producer in Nicaragua.

In 2011, it began as a trial cultivation project for various varieties by Erwin Mierisch and Fernando Montes. The land, originally used as an experimental farm, was redeveloped, and coffee cultivation became full-fledged, utilizing natural environments such as shade trees. They are also cultivating exotic varieties, including Yellow Pacamara, Orange Bourbon, Laurina, and Geisha from Panama.

Since 2014, Elean Mierisch has taken the lead, implementing precise cultivation management adapted to Honduras's microclimates. As a result, they won the Cup of Excellence in 2019 and 2021, and placed 2nd in 2022, establishing a global reputation.

The production expertise cultivated at this farm has spread to surrounding areas such as Comayagua and Santa Barbara, contributing to the overall improvement of coffee quality in the region.

Currently, Erwin Mierisch, the fifth generation of Fincas Mierisch, manages the farm, working towards stable production and further quality improvement.
