We'd like to introduce you to coffee from Benti Nenca, a region in Guji that is also known as a hidden gem.

Reminiscent of blood orange and grapefruit, this coffee offers a juicy fruitiness typical of Ethiopian varieties, layered with a gentle, refreshing sweetness like honey-infused black tea.

The cherries, which ripen slowly in the cool environment of 2,250m elevation, produce dense fruits, resulting in a condensed sweetness and clean acidity with excellent transparency.

Producer/Farm Story

Benti Nenka is located in the deep mountainous region of Guji Hambela in southern Ethiopia.

Wete Ambela Coffee handles the coffee from this region. Founder Mekuria Mergia started as a supplier collecting cherries from small-scale farmers and gained experience by working closely with production sites. Eventually, he established his own washing station and is dedicated to further improving and stabilizing quality by consistently handling everything from processing to export.

Over 500 small-scale farmers are involved in Benti Nenka. Each family carefully cultivates coffee and harvests only fully ripe cherries. The collected cherries are meticulously sorted and processed under Wete Ambela's strict management, quietly and surely bringing out the unique characteristics of this land.
